About Me:

Back in the late 80’s my father owned a gas station /auto repair shop in Connecticut. I worked for him during the week and weekends pumping gas and working on cars. What an experience that was. My cousin Pete & Uncle Mark both had Oldsmobile’s. At the time, my Uncle’s car was a 68 Cutlass S with a potent 350 Olds engine that had big block with C-heads and dual quads. It had many internal Kenne-Bell engine parts. Once the engine’s RPM got to 3000, it felt like a freight train hit us in the rear. My cousin on the other hand had a real 72 442 W-30. It was a 4-speed with a built 455. It incinerated the tires in every gear. It was red with white stripes. What a view from the passenger seat (my first ram air hood experience). After that it was history!!!

I attended a Vocational high school and my trade was drafting and graduated in 1985. My Dad talked me out of taking auto mechanics showing me his hands saying, “Do you want your hands to like this when you get to be my age, do ya?” I had no choice. Little did he know I would end up having a hobby that would put me right in the same position years later.

During high school I also had my first Oldsmobile. It was a one owner 1972 Cutlass Supreme purchased from the original owner. My Dad worked on it since it was new and I had to have it. It had a Bamboo yellow exterior with a black vinyl top and a perfect mint black bench seat interior. The engine was a stock 350 4 barrel with A/C. It did really nice hole shots!!!!! Years and many Oldsmobile’s later, I started to part Cutlass', 442's, and a couple of W-30’s... yes I know!!! After dealing with so many people it became a hobby and my passion turned to restoring other Oldsmobile enthusiast’s cars.

This was the beginning of Cas-Am Performance & Restoration LLC.
